Excellence in Fine Woodworking Scholarship from Caisse de la Culture - MUMAQ 2023

We are proud to announce that Alexandra D. Phaneuf, a recent graduate of the École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal and the creator of the artwork “La Porteuse,” has won the prestigious Excellence in Fine Woodworking Scholarship from Caisse de la Culture – MUMAQ 2023. Her exceptional achievement was recognized for its elegant and timeless design, as well as its perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, demonstrating extensive research in terms of ergonomics.

As the recipient, Alexandra will receive a $1000 scholarship generously provided by Caisse de la Culture. Additionally, her furniture piece will be exhibited starting June 8, 2023, in our exhibition hall, providing an exceptional showcase for her talent.
