De fil et de papier
DE FIL ET DE PAPIER presents the work of eight artists who, drawing on their know-how and contemporary craft practices, shape and transform paper. The exhibition explores the language of paper, highlighting the strength of the artisanal gesture behind each work and the creative power of manual know-how. The forms and compositions of the expressive works, often abstract, bear witness to a deep passion for the meticulous gestures involved in the techniques of spinning and transforming paper.
Curator Marie-José Gustave celebrates and brings together the work of eight female Canadian artists whose work revolves around paper and thread: Mylène Boisvert, Anne Boscher, Anne-Yvonne Jouan, Julie Bénédicte Lambert, Nithikul Nimkulrat, Sabrina Sachiko, Ute Wolff, and Marie-José Gustave.
We’re also delighted to offer a creative workshop led by artist Nithikul Nimkulrat on October 25 and 26 2024. More details to come!
