This wooden statue represents Christ the King. The idea of Christ the King is based on the notion of his omnipotence, imposing his law on mankind and nature. The work belonged to the Petit Séminaire de Québec before being acquired by the Musée de l'Institut des arts appliqués. It was exhibited in Room 2 of the museum between 1963 and 1969.
